I started my esports journey in high school, playing competitive Overwatch for about three years as a flex player. I kept a notebook to track plays and find ways to improve, not because I wanted to go pro, but because I genuinely enjoyed the competitive side of gaming. Once I got to UTSA, I shifted from competing to community building. I joined Roadrunner Gaming as a freshman and spent four years helping grow the organization—two years as an event coordinator, one year as Vice President, and currently finishing my final year as President.

Throughout that time, I’ve built long-standing relationships with school departments like Student Involvement, the Student Union, the Campus Tech Store, and especially University Tech Solutions. I’ve also worked with local businesses to host events and build a stronger connection between UTSA and the wider San Antonio gaming scene. Above all, I’ve focused on making Roadrunner Gaming a positive, inclusive space where players feel safe and supported, whether they’re new to esports or seasoned competitors.

Outside of gaming, I also led a team of 10 students on a volunteer trip to Fort Worth to support local animal shelters during the coldest week of winter. That experience earned me the Leadership Award at UTSA’s Campus Life Awards and reminded me how far leadership can reach when you’re surrounded by the right people.
